Mardaani 2 is an upcoming Hindi movie scheduled to be released on 13 Dec, 2019. The movie is directed by Gopi Puthran and will feature Rani Mukerji, Shruti Bapna, Rajesh Sharma and Jisshu Sengupta as lead characters.

Police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy, a Marathi married to a Bengali, goes up against a young, and ferocious man who goes on raping and murdering women. How Roy catches him, is a tale of thrill and mystery. 

On 10 December 2018, Yash Raj Films announced on their official Twitter account the making of the sequel to their hit film Mardaani to be directed and scripted by Gopi Puthran.
