Coronavirus Outbreak: Six more test positive for COVID-19 in Telangana
Six new COVID-19 cases were reported in Telangana on Tuesday. Taking the total number of cases to 1009. The state has been seeing a lesser number of positive cases over the past week. The coronavirus deaths in the state remain 25 as there were no fresh deaths recorded on Tuesday.
The state health minister said that 42 more people have been discharged and the total number of discharged persons as on Tuesday was 374. Currently, there are 610 people who are undergoing treatment. Since April 21 the number of cases has been coming down on a daily basis. In fact, over the last two days, all the eight cases were detected form the GHMC area alone.
The chief minister stated that by April 28, 21 districts in the state would not have any COVID-19 cases in the state, 97 percent of the patients getting discharged after recovery, is a good sign.
However, the situation in the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh is positive. The total number of cases in the state touched 1259 with 82 persons tested positive on Monday.
