- Clashes broke out between police and people
The Amaravati farmers have given their lands for the development of Andhra Pradesh State capital Amaravati. The farmers have been protesting for the past 24 days. Today in Uddandarayuni Palem clashes broke out between the people and the police.
Uddandarayuni Palem people started a march to Vijayawada’s Kankadurga temple, the women protesters were stopped by the police. The police said that there was no permission taken for the march. The people did not listen to the police and marched forward towards the temple and the clashes broke out between the people and the police.
TDP president Chandrababu Naidu who is front and leading the protest held a rally in Machlipatnam area and he was seeking the support of the people in retaining Amaravati as the Capital. The opposition leader and the TDP president Chandrababu Naidu also collected donations from the people to continue the movement.
