- Asia XI vs World XI match in World’s largest stadium
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has plans to inaugurate the world’s largest cricket stadium, that is being currently built at Ahmedabad, with an exhibition game between Asia XI and World XI in March next year.
The new stadium is built at a cost of Rs 700 crores is set to become the biggest cricket stadium in the world with a capacity of 1.10 lakh. The Stadium will be ready in March. The capacity of the stadium is higher than the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia, which can accommodate around 1,00,024 spectators.
The Sardar Patel Stadium will boast many distinctive features. The stadium will comprise two academy grounds apart from the main ground and will also have indoor practice facilities.
